We teach German the way it was written — to be read.

Most German courses begin with grammar tables and end with grammar tables. We begin with a paragraph of Kafka and ask: why is the verb here, at the end? What does that hesitation do to the sentence?

From this small habit — reading slowly, in German — everything follows. Vocabulary becomes texture rather than list. Grammar becomes architecture. The TestDaF and Goethe exams become readable scripts. A visa application becomes a paragraph one can write.
